The Hayward Fault has shaped the east bay.
Uplifting of the entire area has caused our rolling hills and steep
hills. This lecture will discuss the fault as part of the San Andreas
Plate Boundary. It will outline the creeping nature of the fault in
Alameda County. Lecture will discuss the historical aspects of earthquakes along the
Hayward Fault with emphasis on trace in Fremont. Learn about the
evidence that you see all over the city.
There will be time to see the map in the New Earthquake Hall as well as other historical pictures. Please reserve a seat as we are limited to 45 participants.

Also view the "Debbie Dome" and see plates move before your eyes. Experience an earthquake on the Wieckowski Widescreen. Invitation. Sandwiches and beveages will be available. Museum will be open if you would like to take a quick look. You will be able to spend time looking at this 21 foot map and the rest of the museum including the Fossils of Fremont.
