The Math Science Nucleus received $7000.00 grant from Alameda County Fish and Game to sponsor 10 family days on fresh water fish and their ecology at Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon and to provide 5 additional field trips for fifth grade classes in Alameda County (150 students). This proposal was an extension of materials we developed in a previous grant but was redesigned for families so parents and children can learn more about keeping aquatic environment clean. We advertised using Eventbrite and our own server.  We had a limit of 25 people per day, with a total of 250 people.  The field trips for 5th grade were complete in Nov (8.9,14,15,16) with 5 classes from Forest Park Elementary in Fremont.  We also make an electronic app for parents to use on their smartphone (android) and their laptop on fresh water fishes at Tule Ponds.  It compares native with non native species
