Installing Pond in Butterfly Meadow

For this Eagle Project, my troop and I installed an additional pond in the garden area of Tules Ponds. To do this, we dug a 7.5ft x 5.5ft x 1.5ft hole to fit a plastic pond tub that was leveled with sand and secured into the ground with a rock ring around the perimeter of the pond glued together with mortar. We also fixed a portion of an existing pond wall to prevent further leaking from the pond. We also chose to beautify the surrounding area by trimming back bushes and hedges and washing off custom made walking stones.

I would like to thank the scouts and parents of Troop 110 for volunteering. I would also like to thank my family for making generous donations as well as helping me with the planning. And of course, I'd like to thank Dr. Blueford and Tules Ponds for providing this opportunity to me.
