On the first day, because no one showed up to help, only me and my dad worked on the project. After transporting all our materials, equipment and tools, we first started by flattening out the area so the planks could fit. Then, we started digging the three holes using an auger we rented. We finished around 2/3 of the digging with the auger before we had to return it. However, on the second day, we finally had helpers that showed up which allowed the project to be done in a more efficient manner and be completed faster. First, I instructed the helpers to transport all the items to the area and then told them what we needed to do. First, I had them resume the digging until all three holes were around two feet deep and were aligned. Then, we put the concrete form tubes in the holes. Afterwards, I had the helpers connect the planks to the posts using bolts. Each hole for screwing required drilling the hole from both sides and inserting the bolt along with one nut and two screw washers. After each bolt was fully secured with each step and the planks were completely connected to the posts, we laid them on the area with each post in each concrete form tube. Subsequently, we poured one 50 pound bag of concrete into each concrete form tube, followed by one gallon of water in each tube, followed by 2/3 of one 50 pound bag of concrete in each tube. In the end, we let the quikrete mix with the water to create a solid, muddy texture, making the posts extremely stable. We then took pictures and cleaned up
