Building a Shed to House Tools

My Eagle Scout Project was building a tool shed at the Masonic Homes to replace the plastic shed that was being used at the time. The tool shed I built was a wooden 8' by 12'. The existing plastic shed was starting to sink into the ground and given enough time the shed doors would not be able to open. We first had to level out the ground so that we could install the base. Then, after we finished the base, we installed the flooring. While the flooring was being installed, we were also working on building the sidewalls and the back wall. Next, we got the three walls up and secured them to the shed. After, we built the front wall and the seven stringers to support the roof and installed the doors. Later, once this was completed we finished the work on the roof. The final touches were just installing the windows and the last couple of trim pieces to give the shed a finished look.

The people that helped me build the shed were scouts and adults from Troop 269. I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Blueford for letting me take this project as my Eagle Scout Project.
