Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon is open on
the days listed below (mainly Saturdays) for
community service projects. Just drop by and we can use your
help in the greenhouse, butterfly meadow, amphibian corridor, tree
maintenance, and plant nursery. We will announce special events (i.e. tree
planting, etc) via our Volunteer Alert System. If you would
like to be added to the list server please type in your email above. You can unsubscribe at any time.
If you already have a project and
have a parent to be with your group, you may email us about
borrowing a key. Email Dr. Blueford (blueford@msnucleus.org). A staff member from the
Math Science Nucleus will be there to supervise various
projects.
Community workdays are
open to all high school students. You may email if you
are planning to attend so we can have appropriate tools
available. However drop in volunteers are welcomed. If
you are an Irvington Environmental Change
Benchmark Student, you can visit the site during
one of the Saturday work days. You should look at the
information on our website on Tule
Ponds. Projects that might be of interest to
students can be found by clicking
here. If you are interested please email Dr.
Blueford (blueford@msnucleus.org)
about a possible project. If you are not an Irvington Student and
would like to do a longer term project, please email and we can
arrange a project. DIRECTIONS
