Baby kittens - about 6 weeks old, born at Tule Ponds are available for adoption.  They are two girls that really would like to stay together.  However, we would love to find them good homes.  One is a fluffy, long hair that is smokey in color; the other kitten is medium hair with calico and tabby patterns. They are playful and really like people and have been inside since we capture them.  We will bring them to the tours if you would like to see them.  Please email Joyce Blueford if interested  (blueford@msnucleus.org).

Math Science Nucleus has used science and math to excite children about the world around them.  Currently we are involved at the local level with many different restoration projects.  Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon is one of our most successful restoration projects in the bay area, creating a 17 acre urban forest and wetland in 15 years.  Students help maintain the facility every week and learn about the ecology of the area.   Come see Tule Ponds with a guided tour and learn about all the other environmental projects MSN oversees in southern Alameda County, including an innovation use of food waste for reforestation at the Masonic Home in Union City.

Math Science Nucleus  is a non profit since 1982 devoted to increasing science  awareness to children.  A major accomplishment is the development of the Integrating Science, Math, and Technology Reference Curriculum which is used throughout the world.  Math Science Nucleus local manages  the Children’s Natural History Museum, Fremont Earthquake Exhibit, California Nursery Historic Park, and Tule Ponds. Present restoration projects include Masonic Home reforestation of 200 acres, Stivers Lagoon,  Duck Island, and more.  Past projects include Mission Creek, Mud Slough, Mowry Slough, and Irvington Creek.
