PS 8

Everything in life has something to do with science.  If science did not exist we would not be as advanced.  Science helps us understand our world.  Now I’ll explain to you why science is important.

We solve problems by knowing how things work.  We can discover new ways to do things.  By studying organisms we could determine new life, and maybe learn more about the organisms we’ve already studied.

Science helps us find cures for diseases, improves our quality of life, and helps us advance our technology.  Without science we would still be living in caves.  In conclusion science is important worldwide and we all need it to survive.

PS 21

Science is important because it deals with the natural world.  Science is an organized way of using evidence to learn about the natural world.  The goal of science is to investigate, understand, and explain events in nature.

Science is important because a lot of contributions have been made by scientists through research to better human lives.  We need the work of scientists to better understand a lot of things in our environment such as gas, diesel, and chemical waste disposal.  Also if your environment does not stay the same scientists help us to understand those changes better.

Science is also important because scientists contribute information about health and diseases.  They help us understand the causes of some diseases.

Science is also important because a lot of things we use at home and equipment used in hospitals and some other manufacturing companies are invented by scientists.

PS 23

You may not realize how important science is so let me tell you.  Science is so normal to  use we don’t even realize.

First science is medicine, every day hundreds of people are saved my medical science.  Second some scientists make all sorts of synthetics that help people survive in nature.  Without science we would not have any entertainment.  The modern population practically thrives on entertainment.  If there wasn’t any science earth’s population would have dropped by 50% or 70%.  Personally I think it was the most amazing thing ever created.  I would give a pretty long list of what I would give to be a scientist.

In conclusion science probably saved the human race hundreds of times.  Who knows what science has in store for us in the future.

PS 32

Science is important; there is a lot to know
To learn all about it, you have to start out slow

You start with animals and plants
These subjects teach you everything from trees to ants

Mammals are animals that give birth and have hair
Like the whale, the elephant, the zebra, and the bear

Botany is the study of plants and their life
Like weeds, grass, and poison ivy that can bring you strife

You have to learn the elements in the periodic table
Each one with a name, a number and a label

Learning about disease and how to find cures
For sick people this opens many doors

Astronomy is the study of the moon, planets, and stars
Some of the planets are Earth, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars

So many scientists like Einstein, Mendel and Pauling
They realize that to give back to nature was their calling

Many things have been accomplished through Science, as you can see
I know that science will always be very important to me

Joseph Pisicolo
PS 50

Asking why science is important is like asking why air is essential.  The many sciences of the world such as biology, physics, and geology are both important and necessary for growth and well being.  These studies of living things, matter, energy, and earth are needed if we are to advance in areas such as technology and intelligence.  Without them, survival would be difficult if not impossible.

The study of science teaches us about nature and the physical world around us.  We need to test, experiment, and measure if we are to discover and invent new things.  Science allows us to make life more practical and efficient.  Without science and technology the world could not progress reasonably, and we would not gain the knowledge and wisdom useful for existence.

I believe that science is, and must always remain, a fundamental aspect of our world!
