PROBLEM: How can you locate more information about your local watershed?

HYPOTHESIS:

MATERIALS: Internet

PROCEDURE: Use the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) website to find information about your local watershed (http: //www.epa.gov/surf/). Answer the questions below and then print out a map of the completed assignment.

1. Name of watershed

2. USGS cataloging unit number

3. State and Counties covered by map:

4. Look at the Environmapper for watersheds. Click on the different mapping features that you want to locate. Then click on the map and these symbols will appear on the map.

List the symbols you have chosen.

5. Print out a map as instructed by your teacher.
