For class field trips and general public
| The
Math Science Nucleus' Natural History Museum has several
exhibits that help the visitor understand the natural history
of the local area. The largest hall is Wes Gordon
Fossil Hall that includes the Irvington Fossils,
Environments through Time, Bones, and the Boy Paleontologists
Room. Hall of Small Wonders is full of little creatures
including foraminifers, radiolarians, and diatoms. Mineral
and Rock Hall has minerals classified by their chemical
families and rocks from California. Nature Hall
includes specimens of different animals and shells. Tools
of Early Humans looks at how Californian Native Americans
used natural fibers and rocks to help them survive. Allow at least one hour for each tour.

There is a maximum of
80 people (including chaperones)
allowed in the Natural History Museum.
The self-guided tour includes one booklet per child in the
admission price.
Prehistoric Fremont:
This self guided tour takes students
back in time to look at the different animals that roamed in Fremont over 1
million years ago. Ideal for young children (K-3). Price includes
booklet that includes pictures of the organisms and questions. 1/2 hour
introductory lecture add $50.00.

Look at the entire collection including the Boy
Paleontologist room. See fossils from the Paleozoic to Cenozoic, but
highlighting the fossils from the Irvington District in Fremont. The Nature
Hall is integrated into the self guided booklet to learn about extinctions. 1/2 hour
introductory lecture add $50.00.
