Gordon and his boy paleontologists were noted throughout the United
States in the 1940’s. A band of boys ranging in age from 7 to 13
unearthed one of the best preserved fossil sites in North America.
Fossils from the Irvington District created such an international event,
that a section of time was honored as the Irvingtonian Stage (1.8-.3
million years ago).
This collection is currently
managed by the Math Science Nucleus, a non profit organization, so
young students in the San Francisco Bay area can enjoy and learn form the
collection. We will be unveiling plans for a new museum at our present
site so we can keep this collection and other science exhibits for the
public to enjoy.
Please join us
for dinner to meet the boy paleontologist and help fund raise for the
discover the geologic history of Fremont.
