2015-16 Environmental Interns

 Summer Environmental Intern
 
Focus this summer is on chemical monitoring. microorganisms, plant and soil biology; and restoration.  Commitment:  must attend most of the meetings and during the school year help with a restoration project with school members.  A total of 30 hour commitment that is eligible for Service Learning or Community Service will include 3 hours during the school year to work on a specific project.

Masonic Home Reforestation, Union City
Planting trees - learn how reforestation using composting is underway in the Union City Hills.
July 29, Wednesday (9:30-12:30)
Mission Creek, Mission San Jose
Test water, evaluate the situation, restoration work
August 5, Wednesday (9:30-12:30)
Irvington Creek, Irvington
Test area, evaluate the situation, restoration work
