Designing Medieval Weapons
Staff

Modern weapons are usually designed using computer programs to stimulate real situations.  How did people design weapons in early time.  They used the classical ways of engineering, make a model and see if it works. The balance of different forces helps to design weapons that are efficient and effective.  Class will have students look at forces between movement including bows and arrows, spears, and catapults.  Students will have a chance to design their own weapon.

Location:  Math Science Nucleus, 4074 Eggers Drive

April 10, Thursday This session will allow the students to create their own weapon with provided materials and they will see if they successful launch
