STEM Mobile Platform designed by

Math Science Nucleus

FOCUS GROUP- FEBRUARY 11, 2-5 pm

Math Science Nucleus (a non profit organization started in 1982) is trying to get elementary students around the world access to our Integrating Science, Math and Technology  materials.  Storybooks based on science and animations have been helping teachers throughout the world.  We now have to update to mobile platforms for maximum useage.  We are using Adobe Animate to make storybooks mobile friendly.   The children science storybooks look great, but we are now trying to determine if we can generate funds.  In the past we received grants to cover the cost of the design of many of our 50 titles (which are still free to teachers on a laptop/desktop) now we are wondering if we can get people to purchase them on children's tablets so we can generate a revenue stream or to get grants to cover the cost of conversion.   Many parents of younger children always complaint that they wish we had them for children to view on mobile.

On Feb 11 we would like to see if there are community members that might be able to give us some feedback.  We welcome coders, artists, writers of science.  If you have appropriate skills or interest, even if you are in high school we welcome your attendance.  Our most popular book, Ricky the Rappying Rock was written by a high school students.   If you have a desktop or laptop (with flash on it... most of the older versions have it).. .you can go to the following page and look at our different types of storybooks.  Presently we have Fig Man, Ricky the Rapping Rock, and Zoom Zoom up on our website. We only have adroid version up.  For Apple you need a license for each app... so we decided not to do it yet until we are somehow funded.

At the Focus Meeting we will illustrate how we use the materials with hands-on STEM materials, so you get the full impact of what our small non profit is trying to accomplish.
