17 acre site using storm water as restoration; owned by Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District; managed by Math Science Nucleus Great for teachers who are thinking about taking a field trip to Tule Ponds and get the background information.  First 110 field trips are free for schools in Alameda County.  Participants can sign up at any of the workshops.

	Ohlone Cultures July 30, Thursday  3:00 - 5:00 pm Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon Wetland Center 1999 Walnut Ave, Fremont Learn about their housing (tule hut), what they eat (native plants, preparation), how they hunted (making weapons), how they played.  Will make tule toys or boat to be used in the classroom
	Water Chemistry  CANCELLED August 6, Thursday  3:00 - 5:00 pm Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon Wetland Center 1999 Walnut Ave, Fremont Learn why water is so important to our environment (the chemistry of the molecule.  We will model different lesson plans that you can take back into the class and excite your students as well as learn.
	Native Plants in Local Region August 13, Thursday  3:00 - 5:00 pm Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon Wetland Center 1999 Walnut Ave, Fremont Learn natve vs non natve plants in the area.  Make a leaf identification chart that will help you bring into the class.  Learn about the different uses of our natives.  You will be able to take seeds (i.e. milkweed, poppies) to share with your students
