Stivers Lagoon Nature Center

The City of Fremont offers a FREE 2 hour field trips to Fremont Teachers and their students.  

Students learn about the riparian habitat of this urban marsh, one of the last of its kind in Fremont.  They will learn about the creeks in the area, marsh plants, animals and how the food chain works.  Activities can include a scavenger hunt and a fictional mystery of "who eats whom" in the marsh to extend the tour. 

Field trips are 2  hours long.  There is a park nearby with excellent picnic areas for students to have lunch.  Field trips are available for Fremont schools (public, private, and home school students)..  Go to the following link for more information:
