Meet Samantha Sabertooth and Mammoth MaryCome explore Ice Age fossils of Fremont. Learn about the different animals that once roamed the East Bay that are now on display at the Children’s Natural History Museum. Meet Samantha Sabertooth, our new life-sized display in the fossil hall museum, and learn about the different large cats that once populated the East Bay.

Shells of the World 
Explore the different types of shells found on the beach.  Learn about their lives and their habitat. Students will receive materials to help start them on collecting and identifying shells.

Fun with Physics
Students will learn the basic principles of gravity, electromagnetism, and mechanics. They will be entertained by toys from different periods in history. Activities include working with various toys as well as designing and making your own toy.
 Nov. 7 F-04

Ice Age Mammals and Animals of Today
Students will learn about the large mammals that are now extinct and how scientists can identify them. They will also learn about the mammals that live in the area today and why they survived while other mammals became extinct.

Nov.  21 F-05 Gems and Mineral
Roll through the rock cycle as rocks change and become something different. Students will learn how to collect minerals and rocks by comparing and contrasting the different characteristics. They will get samples that will help them learn how to collect their own. 
Dec.  5 F-06 Stars and Constellation for the Winter Sky
Children will investigate the Stars and their wonders. Explore the red giants, blue dwarfs, and the massive super novas of our universe along with comets, planets and constellations. Stars and constellations for the winter sky will be observed in the Miller Planetarium
